BOROUGH COMMANDER 2236 NICK PINKERTON RETIRES AFTER 23 YEARS OF POLICING SERVICE IN SURREY

Nick joined in March of 1998 where he started as a PC covering Knaphill and Lightwater before becoming a detective constable on Woking Beat.

He joined the fraud team at Leatherhead developing his knowledge around complex crime and financial investigation, promoting to Detective Sergeant with a position in the Divisional Crime Investigation Team. He then moved to Public Protection and took part in a number of projects at Surrey’s Head Quarters in Guildford. Following a promotion to Inspector, Nick enjoyed several years in the Force Control Room before seeking an opportunity to return to his neighbourhood roots where for the past five years he has been passionately leading the teams here in Runnymede, making the borough the safest it can be. Nick has been a strong supporter of Community Life magazines

and you will see his last update in this issue.  James Wyatt will be taking over our Chertsey Beat page and updating us on police matters.  The police are such an important part of our community keeping us safe.  We value their role in society and in our direct community.

We wish Nick a very happy retirement and would like to thank you for your 23 years of unfaltering commitment to keeping us safe and informed in Surrey.
