What an amazing first month it has been for Chertsey Life! Thank you to all who took the time to contact me and your kind words. It is so nice to know Chertsey Life is appreciate by so many. It’s been fantastic learning more and more about Chertsey and the great people that live here.
I attended the litter pick up organised by Shannon Banks and Iris Partridge, and it was wonderful to see the amount of residents that turned up including Naomi Druce, a mother who brought her 3 children with her including and one in a pram. I was really impressed by her and her kids actively taking part. It’s nice to see so many care about Chertsey and our community. I’m sure there will be several more litter pick up events to come, but hopefully we can do more to tackle the problem of litter at the core and change this behaviour.
We do our best distributing Chertsey Life to you, but if you did not receive a copy please send me an email. Copies of Chertsey Life are also available at: Revive Cafe, Carlo Delicatessen, The Chertsey Museum, and The Farm Shop in Lyne.
I am always interested in speaking to new contributors. If you have an interest in writing a story you think others in the community will enjoy, please email me.
Further concerns with Covid and limiting to groups of 6 has meant that more events have been cancelled, including the wheelchair event from Grogmore Park, and the book club nights at the Youth Centre have been postponed. Many other restrictions have been put back in place in several areas across the UK.
Please be vigilant and wear a mask in shops and when you may come in contact with others outside the home and let’s all stay safe.
Yours faithfully
