Community Life

CHERTSEY LIFE | JUNE 2021

Welcome to the June issue!  Hard to believe it’s June already.  At least this year we have plenty to look forward too.  Lockdown measures have continued to ease and we can enjoy more of our local restaurants and cafes with the pleasure of the indoor dining experience.

More good news is that our events in planning are looking to happen (fingers crossed)!  The Black Cherry Fair organisers are busy putting the event together and everything is moving forward with the Chertsey Agricultural Show.  The Chertsey Museum is open again and there will be more on offer for you to do and get back to community living.

As we look around our High Street, there are still some vacancies but hopefully with new businesses starting and others seeing Chertsey as an opportunity, the taking up of a shop will start to happen.  We want to welcome Shelby’s – Fish Mongers & Butchers who has just opened on Burwood Parade along with a few other encouraging signs of new life coming to the High Street.

Please do make sure you are thinking about your Health and Wellness. Sarah Stannard gives a few tips on how to stay healthy and feel good.  Add a daily walk to your schedule during the summer months.  We are so lucky to have so much green space around with a National Trust location within reach.

Please do remember to be vigilant and wear a mask when appropriate.

Yours faithfully,
