I love April, it’s not only my birthday month (!) but also my wedding anniversary. When Spring has truly sprung, the blossom and the blue skies reminds me of when we met 27 years ago. The promise of the summer is hanging in the air and it feels like we’re truly through the Winter.
This month’s issue is full of exciting things to read, Easter events and ideas for the holidays as well as a fabulous selection of book reviews from The Cobham Bookshop. A heart wrenching but miraculous story about Chasemore Farm’s Ascot winner Ceiling Kitty, a chocolate chip cookie recipe from our food editor Adam McLaren to literally die for …for all those chocoholics out there!
We also delve into part two of the history of Brooklands which we’ve been looking into as we review the incredible redevelopment happening at Brooklands Technical College and managing editor Mary Hammond’s self-build diary should keep you inspired if you are thinking of doing the same – taking you through step by step.
And..last but not least we have a selection of diamonds (they really are forever and pretty much every girl’s best friend!!) from James Constantinou’s online shop, as well as our local events section to keep you busy at the back of the magazine!
If you have a community story or photos you would like to share please do not hesitate to get in touch.
