Good-bye Winter! It feels as if you have been around for a while.
It has been a busy time. Runnymede Borough Council revived their Civic awards in February, and it was a lovely event. So many people getting acknowledged for the work they do in the community.
I was highly honoured to receive Community Writer of the Year. It has been a great privilege putting these community magazines together in Runnymede & Weybridge. I am beyond grateful that they are appreciated. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say Thank You. I do my best to put the magazines together to engage with you and highlight what is happening in the community that you might not find on social media or other media. It’s more than a job to me. I do this all myself without a team of people and I’m still growing with it and realising how important it is. I never thought I would ever be calling myself an award-winning writer, but as I go through life I am learning to expect the unexpected.
