Can you believe it’s June? That’s come along quickly. We have definitely seen a few raindrops in April and May which has certainly brought out the foliage and flowers. Our gardeners and farmers must be very happy.
Runnymede Borough Council are celebrating The Great Big Green Week with lots of events happening in Egham and at Holme Farm. Please take advantage of this important initiative.
There is a lot going on this month with our villages hosting fairs and festivals. We have a lot from which to choose.
Lyne Village Fete, Magna Carta Day, Englefield Green Fair and a bit further afield is the Weybridge Fair and Festival.
English Wine Week is 17-25 June celebrating the industry. If you’ve been to Esher Theatre and had a glass of wine then you will definitely have had a glass of English grown wine. Many French companies are setting up in the Surrey Hills, Hampshire and Kent. It is worth a visit to our local vineyards for a lovely day out. Why not book a tour for Father’s Day?
If you have a community story that you would like to highlight in our monthly publications, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
